In today's health care environment, the prenatal nurse must be able to care for both mother and baby.  Skilled Neonatal assessments can make a difference in reducing newborn complications and enhancing neonatal growth and development.

This seminar will focus on enhancing your assessment skills in recognizing clinical problems in the newborn by:

Respiratory: Immediate VS, Long Term Assessments and Interventions
Cardiac: Cardiac Defects, Murmurs & Normal Transition
Hematologic: Normal & Variable Patterns
Metabolic / Hepatic: Abnormalities of Glucose, jaundice and Renal Function

  • Assessing the High Risk Infant
  • Developing a Multidisciplinary Plan of Care
