MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT/CEO OF THE CHAMBER

The McHenry Area Chamber of Commerce is dedicated to provide support to the growth and development of the business community and to continually improve the quality of life for those who live and work in the McHenry area.

The chamber is a team of committed professionals focused on helping member businesses jointly achieve the best quality work environment to further their success in the marketplace. Our staff, along with our Board of Directors, coordinates the efforts of hundreds of businesses, and over seven-teen standing committees, to provide benefits and services necessary to growing businesses.

Your chamber links large and small businesses with the community. Your customers, employees, and many resources are based in this community.

The first meeting as the McHenry Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors was held on May 1, 1952. Thus, as of today the McHenry Area Chamber boasts over 600 members continually strives to reach out to it's outlying communities.

Our staff: Kay Bates, Membership Director; Jane Manny, Office Manager; Kathy Pengilly, Bookkeeper; Michelle Lamont, Secretary/Receptionist; are committed to help and assist our members and the community.

1999 dues in the McHenry Chamber of Commerce are on a graduated scale based on the number of employees, the minimum starting at $210.00 and a special rate of $85.00 for non-profit service organizations.

The warmth and the heritage of this community is deeply appreciated by those who reside in the McHenry area.The Chamber is a resource for information on area organizations and the general community.
