CHANNING, MI

Channing Depot, August 1999

Channing is on and old Milwaukee Road line running up into Michigan's upper peninsula. It was built around 1880. In 1980 the Milwaukee Road sold its Michigan lines to the Escanaba & Lake Superior RR. The depot is still in use by the railroad.

Street Side/North End

Track Side

Just south of the depot is another railroad building. It looks something like a depot, with a bay window and overhanging roof on the track side. However, there are no doors on the track side. What was it?

Do you have an old picture of the depot?
