How Rich Is Your Teacher

The average teacher salary in Illinois is over  $55,000 a year.  Teachers whine that they are underpaid.  But a salary of $55,000 puts them in the top .95% of wage earners in the entire world.  For those who prefer fuzzy math, any teacher earning more than an average salary in Illinois is in the top 1% of wage earners worldwide.

Jim and Cathy Peschke are now in New Hampshire.  Although this site will not be updated as often as it has been in the past it will remain up as a resource for education reformists and tax fighters.  For assistance please contact the taxpayer advocacy group or the education reform group nearest your home or contact us at noreferendum@joltmail.com

Are You A Victim of the Delphi Technique?

"In her book Educating for the New World Order, author and educator Beverly Eakman makes numerous references to the need of those in power to preserve the illusion that there is "community participation in decision-making processes, while in fact lay citizens are being squeezed out. "

Great Quotes

"And if you are a teacher who belongs to the teachers union, thus helping to perpetuate with your dues their iron grip on the current system, you, too, are anti-education. " Charles Muth

"Our entire school system is based on the notion of passive students that must be "taught" if they are to learn. . . . Our country spends tens of billions of dollars each year not just giving students a second-rate education, but at the same time actively preventing them from getting an education on their own. And I'm angry at how school produces submissive students with battered egos. Most students have no idea of the true joys of learning, and of how much they can actually achieve on their own. "

Adam Robinson, co-founder of The Princeton Review

Need help fighting a referendum in your community?

  1. Read how to throw your own Boston Tea Party.
  2. Contact CRAFT to present a free "How to Fight a Referendum" meeting in your community.
  3. Start your own education reform/taxpayer advocacy group in YOUR community and become a free member of the CRAFT affiliates.  A group of affiliates will have a bigger voice when we lobby Springfield for true education reform.  Throwing more money at a broken system does not fix the system.
