On most mornings if you where to travel to the Donuts and More, (oh well they went out of business, try McDonalds) located in beautiful downtown Marengo, you would more than likely run across Marshall holding court with rest of the old fart cronies solving the world's problem in their own unique way. During one of the many heated conversations you are probably going to hear some of the famous quotes that have become part of the lore of this small town called Marengo.

  - "Anyone with one year to live should move to Marengo. Each day here seems like an eternity!!"

• Health Care

  - "When I get a cold, I will either go to the doctor and get well in seven days or I will take care of myself and get better in a week!"

  - "I have that Swedish Alezhimer's Disease - all I can remember are my grudges!"

  - "When I had the Tastee Freez I lost money on every sale but made up on volume!"

  - "The first thing I do in the morning is get up and take a nap!"
