Welcome to the Nippersink Creek of Northern Illinois

The Nippersink Creek...The east branch of the Nippersink Creek is located in McHenry County and has a length of 23 miles. It begins at the Wonder Lake Dam, meanders to the east, and ends at the Chain-O-Lakes in western Lake County. There are a number of popular fishing hot-spots nearby. The Nippersink Creek is a popular recreation area of McHenry County and Northern Illinois. It possesses a natural serenity many naturalists and outdoorsmen enjoy. Canoeing and fishing are the favorite past times. Hiking is also popular.
