Algonquin Township

Algonquin Township has been approved to process the application forms for the Regional Transportation Authority Reduced Fare Program. 

This program, offered by the RTA to seniors age 65 and older, provides a reduced travel fare to senior citizens on Metra, Pace and the CTA.

If you wish to apply for the card, stop at the Township Office Monday through Friday between 8:00 a.m. and Noon.  Bring picture identification and we will take a new picture and send the forms to the RTA office.  If you are not 65 years old you may apply one (1) month before you birth date.  You will receive your card from the RTA in about three (3) weeks.

The following are considered picture identification:

1. Driver's License
2. State of Illinois Identification Card
3. Passport
4. U.S. Immigration Alien Registration Card
5. Any other Official Government Identification card showing photograph and birthdate
