• NOVEMBER 199 - NEW FOCUS
  Finishing on the final touches to devote most of my page to my love of face plants, tree piercing, and chainring tatoos; Mountain Biking at its finest. A new Northern Illinois Trail Guide and lots o' links coming soon.
• OCTOBER 1999 - MAJOR CHANGES/UPDATES
  Just like corporate America, The Organ Grinder has gone through some drastic cutbacks. The Music and Cartoon pages have been laid off, and the Star Wars & South Park pages have been reduced to links and transferred to the Miscellaneous Swag page. Unfortunately, I no longer have the time to devote as much effort to the other pages as I'd like to.

About the Organ Grinder

I. Where did the title come from?
Actually, I must admit I gleamed it from a song of the same name by Marilyn Manson off their first full length album. For some reason it just sounded like a good name for a web page.
II. What's this "Dial M for Monkey" stuff?
If you've been here before, the page was titled "Dial 'M' for Monkey." However, too many people either thought it was a page about the cartoon short on "Dexter's Laboratory," or just gave me really strange looks.
III. What's with the monkeys?
What's wrong with monkeys? Everyone loves monkeys! Don't you like monkeys?
IV. So what's the purpose of this piece of crap?
Does everything in life need a purpose? If so, please explain Regis & Kathie Lee. However, I have heard reports that this page has amazing powers to heal and provide wealth to those who lick the screen. Go ahead...no one's looking...try it!

About Myself

I. Who are you?
Me? the owner, creator, curator, and resident freak of the Organ Grinder. On the web, people call me "zerox" (not not 'Xerox' the copy people!).
II. What do you do?
Obviously, not web programming or else this page wouldn't suck! At work, I stare at a computer screen all day. In whatever free time I have, I...stare at a computer screen? Most of my hobbies involve staring at a computer screen. Umm, can someone please send me some info on radiation poisoning? I think I'm starting to glow.
III. What kind of system are you making this page on?
Well, first it was on an HP Pavilion 7320 P166MMX, then it was an HP Vectra 500 P166MMX. Now it's a scratchbuilt AMD K6-2 266 with 96MB RAM and all the goodies (including 3Dfx Voodoo card). I've been using FrontPage 97, Corel Photopaint, and occassional use of a Umax Scanner.

Bitching About Nothing

First off, I just want to thank anyone who actually sent e-mail to me; whether it was criticizing my dead links and poor grammar, or just saying my page was kinda cool.

Speaking of e.mail, I've noticed that alot of you don't quite understand the purpose of the Organ Grinder. The true purpose of this page is to have no purpose. You're finding way too many hidden meanings.

Here are a few things that the Organ Grinder is not about:

• Organ Grinders - sorry, unfortunately I do not own an actual organ grinder, nor do I have a pet monkey.
• "Dial 'M' for Monkey" - Although I occasionally may call my page "Dial 'M' for Monkey," it is not about the cartoon of the same name shown on "Dexter's Laboratory."
• The Monkees - I refuse to have anything about the Monkees on this page. I have this bizarre condition that makes me go into seizures every time I hear "Last Train to Clarksville." With all apologies to all those Monkees fans out there (including my wife) it was a cool show, but a horrible band!
